The mother of the 6 year old missing boy William Yau has confirmed that the body of a boy found in Port Klang yesterday is her son. Goh Ying Ying identified her own son based on the shorts and underwear worn, which appeared to be the same as the last clothes worn.

However, the police would wait for the DNA test to be concluded before final confirmation.

In Malaysia, kidnapping is punishable by death, there was a lucrative reward for the return of this boy but I believe the kidnappers panicked when the whole thing was sensationalized.

What caused the kidnappers to kill the kid instead of 'pretending' to be Good Samaritans, return him and collect the rewards? Either way, they're dead. What we have now is a dead body that tells no tale, and kidnappers who are still at large. And a lesson learn.
