Electricity bills - when the price of electricity goes up every few years, instead of feeling frustrated and fighting back, Malaysians work harder instead. What the Malaysian middle class would always do is to prevent the bubble from bursting - nobody complains, nobody fights back, nobody sighs ... just work harder, tough luck.

That's bullshit.

My home TNB meter were replaced couple of years ago and the bill for electricity has been higher since, and it is natural that people blamed the meter change for it. What do people do? Nothing. That's Malaysian attitude - complain and complain and do nothing. Many have working children paying the bills and what is a Rm20-40 increase? Work harder, earn more, stay late and claim that OT by all means. Many don't see that as a Rm40 per month increase ... smarter people see that as a Rm480 per YEAR increase.

If you just have your TNB electricity meter changed and experiencing sudden surge in electricity bills, DO NOT KEEP QUIET, do something! Have that life sucking meter checked and replaced if can!
