Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak had Failed??

"As grotesque as it was, Najib sought desperately to adopt the Obama image of a change agent."

I noticed that as well. Najib was trying really hard to adopt an 'Obama image' - I am sure he was excited about the US election at that time, but unfortunately, he didn't do it very well and it backfired badly. Malaysians do not want a copycat PM, they want a man with fresh ideas, a politician that would bring about change. In the coming Malaysian general election, our 13th, it's no longer about milestones, it's no longer about who has the most experience or who has done more. It's no longer a competition of age. When people want change, it is like nothing ever matters anymore - they want the other side to take over, and come up with new ideas, new ways to do things, and a fresh method of governance. UMNO and Barisan National is obsolete, like an old personal computer. Just because you are still booting and functioning, that does not mean I will have to use you until the end of time.

Anyway, how I felt were very well summed up as below :

"It is not Malaysian society that needs to change, it is Umno. It is not the leader of Umno who needs to be seen as relevant to Malaysian society, it is Umno itself that must tear away the scab of domineering top-down father-knows-best condescension and reveal the pus in its flesh." - Gobind Rudra, former newspaper editor.

If you would not admit (ever) that there is something very wrong with you, it is a clear indication that you will not change no matter what. So it's time for you to go. The opposition may not be the best parties in the world, but neither were you. The only difference was, 55 years of ruling has shown us that you will never ever budge from your methods, your ideas, as well as your bad habits.

So it's time to bid you farewell. Who knows, you might be a better opposition in the future.
