Malaysian Airlines MH17 Boeing 777 Shot Down at Ukraine near the Russian border

Another incident involving Malaysian Airlines (MAS), this time a Boeing 777 flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur was shot down 20 miles short of the Russian airspace, at the town of Donetsk, Ukraine. The aircraft left Amsterdam Airport Schiphol en route to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

The aircraft carrying 295 people was hit while traveling at 33,000 feet by a missile fired from a Buk launcher, allegedly by pro-Russian militants.

A Ukrainian shot a video from his village showing thick black smoke billowing from the crashed MH17 and uploaded it to Youtube.

Everyone on board died, nobody survived the crash.
