Wetpaint has just dropped a bomb, a question rather, would Nathan Fillion leave 'Castle' for 'Firefly' if the much loved science fiction series returns to the screen?

If you ask me, the answer is definitely a yes. Nathan would definitely leave 'Castle' when the show is over or canceled. What are you guys expecting ... 'Castle' to run forever? Gosh. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Nathan did say that he will leave 'Castle' if ever it is canceled, so he has 'defused' the bomb.

There's always an understanding in the entertainment business, you can never tear actors away from their schedule if they clash halfway. The gig that comes first will always take priority, unless the actor can juggle between sets and multiple locations, work without sleep for days and weeks. That will definitely burn him out, or kill him, whichever comes first. Nathan Fillion is no exception, no matter how much they're paying him.

Production companies will always plan their shooting around the availability of actors, actresses and even guest stars. The question of artists leaving a particular show for another gig almost never materialize, unless something ugly happens, like he/she gets dropped or booted out from a show for some reason.

As far as 'Castle' and 'Firefly' is concerned, the characters of Rick Castle and Captain Malcolm Reynolds, both played by Nathan, will never be replaced. To me, Superman will always be Christopher Reeve, and to my dad, the only James Bond is Roger Moore. That's how deep things go for some. Micheal Knight will always be David Hasselholf.

"Would you be upset if Nathan left Castle for Firefly?"

What for ... I am a Nathan Fillion fan, I would definitely follow his shows
=)
